Shop Profit Calculator

Monthly profit for shopkeepers & traders.

About this calculator

Many Pakistani shopkeepers know their daily sales by heart but have never calculated their true monthly profit. Rent, staff salaries, electricity, wastage and udhaar (credit given to customers) silently eat the margin. This calculator subtracts every kharcha from your revenue to reveal what the shop actually earns.

Seeing the real number changes decisions — whether to extend hours, cut a slow-moving product line, or renegotiate rent. Enter monthly sales, cost of goods, rent, salaries, utilities and other expenses to get net profit and profit margin percentage.

How to use

  1. Enter your average monthly sales (total revenue).
  2. Add the cost of goods sold — what you paid suppliers for that stock.
  3. Enter fixed kharchay: rent, salaries, electricity, and miscellaneous.
  4. See your net monthly profit and margin % — the shop’s true earnings.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good profit margin for a retail shop?

It varies widely — kiryana stores often run on 8–15% net margins, while garments or electronics can be higher. Consistency matters more than the number alone.

Should I count udhaar (customer credit) as sales?

Record it as sales but track unpaid udhaar separately — uncollected credit is the biggest silent killer of small-shop profit in Pakistan.

How can I increase my shop’s profit?

Common levers: reduce wastage, renegotiate supplier rates, cut slow-moving stock, control electricity use, and collect udhaar on time. The calculator shows which expense hurts most.
