Fuel Trip Calculator
Trip fuel cost, litres needed & per-km cost.
About this calculator
Before a long drive — Lahore to Islamabad, Karachi to Hyderabad, or a family trip up north — this calculator tells you how much fuel the journey will take and what it will cost. Enter the distance, your car's mileage (km per litre) and the current petrol or diesel price, and it works out litres needed, total cost and cost per kilometre.
That per-km figure is useful far beyond holidays: it lets you compare two routes, decide whether to drive or take the bus, or settle fuel costs fairly when friends travel together. Because fuel prices in Pakistan change frequently, the price field is fully editable so the estimate always matches the pump rate today.
How to use
- Enter the trip distance in kilometres (one-way or round trip).
- Enter your vehicle's fuel average in km/litre.
- Set the current petrol or diesel price per litre.
- See litres needed, total fuel cost and cost per kilometre.
Frequently asked questions
What is a typical car mileage in Pakistan?
Small cars like the Suzuki Alto or Cultus give 15–20 km/litre on highways, while larger sedans average 10–14. Enter your own figure from your car's trip meter for the most accurate result.
How do I split fuel cost between friends?
Divide the total fuel cost by the number of travellers — the per-km and per-person figures make this a one-step calculation.
Should I include toll tax?
Toll tax is separate from fuel. Add your expected toll amounts to the fuel cost for the true total trip cost.
